Helping You Find Understanding, Healing, and a Path Forward
In-Person in Rockwall, Texas & Virtual Therapy Across Texas
Life can become overwhelming in ways that are hard to explain. Maybe you're constantly feeling anxious, exhausted from trying to hold everything together, struggling in relationships, carrying the weight of past experiences, or wondering why the same patterns keep showing up. Maybe you're supporting a child who is struggling and you're looking for guidance on how to help.
Wherever you are in your journey, you don't have to navigate it alone.
Therapy is a place to slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what you're experiencing. My role is not to judge, tell you who to be, or simply give advice. It is to walk alongside you, help you understand yourself more deeply, develop practical tools, and create meaningful change that lasts beyond the therapy room.
Background & Experience
My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including outpatient behavioral health, crisis intervention, medical social work, and pediatric healthcare. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, behavioral challenges, family conflict, and severe mental health concerns. Most recently, I served as a Pediatric Cardiovascular and Heart Transplant Social Worker, providing emotional support, crisis intervention, and care coordination for children and families navigating some of life's most difficult moments.
Prior to that, I worked as a Clinical Therapist, Crisis Clinician, Team Lead, and Clinical Therapist Manager, where I provided individual therapy, group therapy, crisis services, clinical guidance, and leadership while helping clients build healthier coping strategies and lasting emotional resilience.
My experience across hospitals, behavioral health settings, addiction recovery programs, and family services has allowed me to work with people from many different backgrounds and life experiences. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered, and I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel safe enough to grow while also being challenged toward meaningful change.
My experience of walking with others through life challenges has given me the ability to connect and a deeper understanding that each person's struggles exist within the larger context of their experiences, relationships, and circumstances.
Why Work With Me?
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision and finding someone you feel comfortable with can make all the difference. Therapy is a place where you should feel safe being honest about what you are experiencing, knowing that you will be met with understanding, compassion, and support. I work with adults, children and teens (ages 5+), and families, supporting clients through a wide range of challenges and life experiences.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe therapy should be more than just talking about problems; it should help you gain insight, develop effective coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and create changes that carry into everyday life.

My Approach
I believe therapy should feel safe, grounding, andβwhen possibleβhopeful. My job isnβt to fix you. Itβs to walk beside you, help you make sense of your experience, and equip you with tools that really work in everyday life.
I use a combination of evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs, including:
Trauma-Informed Therapy β understanding the impact of trauma on the body and mind
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) β for processing trauma and past events
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) β to shift unhelpful thought patterns
DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) β to support emotion regulation and mindfulness
CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) β especially helpful for trauma recovery
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) β supports emotional flexibility, values, and meaningful change
Play-Based Interventions β uses creativity, expression, and age-appropriate activities to support emotional understanding and coping skills
What to Expect
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, explore the challenges bringing you to therapy, and discuss what you would like to achieve, how you would like to grow, and the patterns you would like to change.
As we continue working together, Iβll provide guidance, support, practical strategies, and encouragement while recognizing that healing is rarely a straight line. Life changes, challenges arise, and therapy should grow alongside you. My goal is for you to leave each session with more than insight. Together, weβll build practical skills, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen emotional resilience, and create meaningful changes that extend beyond the therapy room.
Take the First Step
You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, exhausted, or simply ready for something to change, you've already taken an important first step by considering support. Healing isn't about becoming someone differentβit's about discovering the strength, resilience, and confidence that already exist within you. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate life's challenges, celebrate your progress, and build the life you want to create.
Wherever you are in your journey, we'll start thereβtogether.
βThe curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.β β Carl Rogers
Investment and Services offered:
Individual Therapy Sessions β $150 (Income based sliding scale available for out-of-network clients $100-150)
Why Some people prefer to Private Pay?
Many individuals seek private pay therapy for increased confidentiality, flexibility, and personalized mental health care. Unlike therapy billed through insurance, private pay or self-pay therapy allows clients to access services like trauma therapy, marriage counseling, and help with high-conflict and life challenges without a formal diagnosis or limitations set by insurance.
Clients can often use their HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA to pay for therapy. This approach ensures privacy, removes barriers to care, and supports customized treatment aligned with individual goals.
To make therapy more accessible, New Path accepts Care Credit, a flexible payment option that allows you to manage the cost of sessions over time. Ask about CareCredit when scheduling your appointment to see if itβs a good fit for your needs.
