About Alexis
Helping Clients Thrive | In-Person in Rockwall, Texas & Online Across Texas
Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated with patterns that keep repeating no matter how hard you try to change them? I’m Alexis, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Rockwall, Texas, providing therapy both in-person and virtually across the state. I work with clients who are ready for something different—whether that’s getting a handle on emotions, changing behaviors that aren’t working, working through trauma, or improving relationships. My goal is simple: for you to feel understood, but also to leave sessions with tools that actually help you move forward and create real change in your day-to-day life.
Why Work With Me?
I bring a broad, real-world clinical background that goes far beyond the therapy room. My experience spans private practice, trauma-focused care, Intensive and Supportive Outpatient Programs (IOP/SOP), youth and teen behavioral and legal support programs, crisis intervention, and community mental health. I’ve worked with teens, adults, and families navigating complex, high-stress situations—and I understand how those challenges show up in everyday life.
I specialize in working with trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, adverse experiences, parenting challenges, women’s issues, relationship dynamics, and major life transitions. As a therapist trained in EMDR and CBT, I don’t just help you talk through problems—I help you process and resolve them. Together, we focus on building emotional regulation, strengthening resilience, and developing practical, effective strategies you can actually use outside of sessions.
My approach is both compassionate and results-driven. I pay close attention to patterns, underlying dynamics, and the bigger picture, while also giving you concrete tools to manage stress, improve coping, and feel more in control. The goal isn’t just insight—it’s meaningful, lasting change that shows up in your relationships, your daily functioning, and your overall well-being.

Why Some people prefer to Private Pay?
Many individuals seek private pay therapy for increased confidentiality, flexibility, and personalized mental health care. Unlike therapy billed through insurance, private pay or self-pay therapy allows clients to access services like trauma therapy, EMDR, anxiety treatment, ADHD support, and help with high-conflict relationships without a formal diagnosis or limitations set by insurance.
Clients can often use their HSA (Health Savings Account)or FSA to pay for therapy and may receive superbills to apply toward out-of-network (OON) insurance benefits. This approach ensures privacy, removes barriers to care, and supports customized treatment aligned with individual goals. Whether you're looking for online therapy, individual counseling, or a therapist who offers specialized care, private pay therapy offers freedom, choice, and high-quality support tailored to your needs.
Superbills provided for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. If you are unsure of how to submit OON billing, we suggest utilizing Reimbursify.com
