Helping Adults, Parents & Couples Heal & Grow | In-Person in Rockwall, Texas & Virtual Therapy Across Texas

With more than 25 years of experience, I help individuals, couples, and families move through life’s most challenging moments with greater clarity, stability, and direction. Whether you’re navigating trauma, relationship conflict, major life transitions, or feeling overwhelmed by where things stand, my goal is to meet you where you are—without judgment—and help you move forward in a way that feels both manageable and meaningful.

I don’t believe in “fixing” people. I believe in understanding them.

Healing starts when you feel seen, heard, and respected. From there, we focus on what actually helps: making sense of what’s happening, identifying what matters most, and taking practical steps toward change. Emotions matter—but so does what you do next. My role is to help you bridge both.

My approach is collaborative, structured when needed, and always tailored to you. When life feels chaotic, I help create order. When things feel stuck, we find movement. When the path forward isn’t clear, we build one—together.

Background & Experience

My professional experience spans decades and a wide range of settings, populations, and challenges. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals, couples, and families navigating virtually every type of adversity, including trauma, abuse (childhood and adult), sexual abuse, domestic violence, substance use, PTSD, complex trauma, grief, high-stress or burnout situations, life transitions, high-conflict relationships, toxic family systems, parenting and co-parenting struggles, separation, and family disruption.

I have worked in crisis intervention, trauma and abuse recovery, psychiatric care, community programs, case management, mediation, parent facilitation, family support services, and legal or court-involved systems. I have supported developmental and disabled populations, guided clients through behavioral and relational challenges, and helped families and individuals navigate complex communication and conflict resolution. This breadth of experience provides a deep understanding of both the emotional and practical aspects of life’s difficulties, allowing me to help clients recognize patterns, shift behaviors, improve communication, resolve conflicts, strengthen relationships, and build healthier, more resilient ways of relating to themselves and others.

The combination of professional expertise and lived insight informs my perspective and allows me to guide clients through complex challenges with empathy, clarity, and confidence.

Why Work With Me?

Clients choose to work with me because of my background and wide-range or experience. Clients come to me because they want to be truly heard, understood, and guided with clarity and compassion. I will help you understand your situation, make decisions, and take meaningful next steps—even in high-conflict or challenging circumstances. I work with individuals and couples and also support veterans and first responders, bringing a calm, steady presence and a genuine ability to listen and understand.

I provide practical strategies that can be applied beyond therapy, helping clients strengthen relationships, improve communication, manage conflict, and navigate life’s challenges. Why Some people prefer to Private Pay?

Many individuals seek private pay therapy for increased confidentiality, flexibility, and personalized mental health care. Unlike therapy billed through insurance, private pay or self-pay therapy allows clients to access services like trauma therapy, marriage counseling, and help with high-conflict and life challenges without a formal diagnosis or limitations set by insurance.

Clients can often use their HSA (Health Savings Account)or FSA to pay for therapy. This approach ensures privacy, removes barriers to care, and supports customized treatment aligned with individual goals.

Ask About CareCredit

To make therapy more accessible, New Path accepts Care Credit, a flexible payment option that allows you to manage the cost of sessions over time. Ask about CareCredit when scheduling your appointment to see if it’s a good fit for your needs.
