Helping Teens, Adults & Couples Move Forward | In-Person in Rockwall, Texas & Virtual Therapy Across Texas
Life doesnβt always slow down when things get heavy. For a lot of peopleβespecially those used to handling pressure, staying strong, or being the one others rely onβit can be hard to even know where to start.
Thatβs usually where I come in. This isnβt about overanalyzing everything or sitting in silence. Itβs about real conversations, understanding whatβs underneath the surface, and building a way forward that actually works in your daily life. I donβt believe in βfixingβ people. I believe in understanding them.
Healing starts when you feel seen, heard, and respected. From there, we focus on what actually helps: making sense of whatβs happening, identifying what matters most, and taking practical steps toward change. Emotions matterβbut so does what you do next. My role is to help you bridge both.
I work with teens, adults, and couples who are dealing with stress, trauma, relationship strain, and life changes. Some people come in knowing exactly whatβs wrong. Others just know something isnβt working anymoreβwhether thatβs after a major transition, a buildup of stress, military or career shifts, or just feeling off track. Either way, we figure it out together.
Background & Experience
As a military Veteran and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have over 20+ years of experience working across crisis intervention, high-conflict situations, and a wide range of mental health concerns, including trauma and PTSD. Much of my work has also focused on unhealthy and toxic patterns and behaviors, communication challenges, and adjustment and life challenges that impact relationships and daily functioning.
My experience includes outpatient settings, psychiatric care, crisis intervention, and private practice, along with incorporating experiential approaches such as equine-assisted therapy.
Over the course of my career, Iβve worked with individuals navigating emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, communication breakdowns, and ongoing life stressors that affect how people function day to day and relate to others.
At the core of my work is helping people recognize the patterns they feel stuck in and begin to understand how those patterns show up in their relationships, emotions, and daily life, so they can start to create different ways of responding and moving forward.
I also specialize in working with military members, Veterans, and first responders, and bring an understanding of the unique pressures, culture, and experiences that can come with those roles.
Why Work With Me?
Clients choose to work with me because of my background and wide range of experience, and because they want someone who can really understand what theyβre dealing with. Many come in feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what to do next, and just want a space where things can be talked through honestly and without judgment.
I will help you sort through whatβs going on, get clearer on your options, and figure out next stepsβeven when things feel complicated, high-conflict, or emotionally heavy. I work with individuals, couples, and teens, as well as veterans and first responders, and bring a calm, steady presence to difficult situations.
My focus is on whatβs actually happening in your day-to-day lifeβcommunication, relationships, stress, and conflictβand helping you find ways to handle those things that feel more manageable and workable for you. I draw from real-world experience and practical approaches, but keep the work grounded and collaborative so it fits your life, not the other way around.

Why Some people prefer to Private Pay?
Many individuals seek private pay therapy for increased confidentiality, flexibility, and personalized mental health care. Unlike therapy billed through insurance, private pay or self-pay therapy allows clients to access services like trauma therapy, marriage counseling, and help with high-conflict and life challenges without a formal diagnosis or limitations set by insurance.
Clients can often use their HSA (Health Savings Account)or FSA to pay for therapy. This approach ensures privacy, removes barriers to care, and supports customized treatment aligned with individual goals.
To make therapy more accessible, New Path accepts Care Credit, a flexible payment option that allows you to manage the cost of sessions over time. Ask about CareCredit when scheduling your appointment to see if itβs a good fit for your needs.
