Kaylee has extensive experience supporting clients through complex and high-intensity challenges, with a particular focus on toxic and abusive relationships, trauma, and substance use. She also helps individuals and families navigate grief and loss, including medical and end-of-life issues, as well as women managing single parenting and major life transitions. Drawing on her background in trauma-informed care, community programs, and family systems, Kaylee offers compassionate, practical, and personalized support to clients of all ages, including older adults.
Alexis Acevedo, LCSW, offers appointments in both the Rockwall and Greenville, Tx offices. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with teens and adults, ages 12 and up. With a strong background in case management, trauma, abuse issues (emotional, sexual & physical abuse), relationships, teens, grief/loss, adverse childhood experiences, men’s issues, and behavioral intervention, she helps clients feel empowered, confident, and ready to take action. Alexis is CBT-trauma trained.
Carrie Leafblad, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and provides in-person sessions at the Fate/Rockwall office and virtual therapy across Texas. Carris is trained in EMDR therapy, CBT, trauma-informed & art-assisted therapy, offering trauma-informed care for children and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, PTSD, OCD, and co-occurring diagnoses. With experience in community mental health, private practice, and education, Carrie brings a warm, creative, and evidence-based approach to therapy.
Michelle Mateus, LPC, is located in our Rockwall office. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes working with teens and young adults, ages 12 to 40. Michelle has experience in in-patient and out-patient settings and possesses a unique ability to connect with others and is Level 2 Sand-tray certified. She is passionate about helping clients navigate anxiety, stress, relationships, and life transitions with compassion and practical tools for growth.
Based in Greenville, Astrid Thomsen is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor with a rich background and over 30 years experience in both community and clinical settings. She works with individuals across the lifespan—children age 6 and up, teens, adults, and families—offering compassionate, strengths-based support for trauma, substance use, behavioral challenges, emotional regulation, and life transitions. Astrid’s practical, solution-focused approach aims to foster confidence, resilience, and meaningful growth. She specializes in substance use, anxiety, family conflict, depression, grief & loss issues and more.
With 18+ years of experience, Melody supports individuals facing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, chronic illness, and major life transitions. Using evidence-based therapies like CBT and ACT, she helps clients build resilience, develop healthier habits, and navigate challenges with hope and confidence. Warm and collaborative, Melody provides a safe space to heal and grow—whether in-person or via telehealth.
Laura Stewart is our Clinical Administrator at New Path Counseling and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Therapist with in-person sessions in Fate, Tx and specializes in virtual/telehealth therapy throughout Texas. She has in-depth experience supporting adults, parents, and couples through trauma, narcissistic abuse and narcissistic or toxic communications, high-conflict situations, parenting and co-parenting challenges including parenting children with special needs, neurodiversity (ADHD and ASD) -both high-functioning, early and late diagnosed, sleep disorders, and relationship challenges such as communication, connection, and intimacy. Laura combines compassion with evidence-based approaches to help clients gain clarity, build resilience, and create lasting change.
Lauren Butcher is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board-Approved Supervisor and founder of New Path Counseling & Wellness. Licensed in Texas, Virginia & Florida, she works with adults navigating trauma, relationship conflict, toxic family dynamics, ADHD, life transitions and more. Lauren combines connection with evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, neuroscience, Cognitive processing, CBT and trauma-informed care, to help clients find clarity, healing, and lasting change.
Christina Arbogast, LMSW
Christina Arbogast, LMSW is a genuine, down-to-earth, and open-minded therapist who draws on extensive experience in community programs, case management, hospice, and psychiatric settings to support individuals and families. She helps clients navigate trauma, PTSD, and generational trauma; mood and emotional regulation challenges; relationship and communication struggles, including marriage and family conflict; parenting and co-parenting stress; work-related stress and burnout; grief and loss; chronic medical conditions; and substance use. Christina provides a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients feel understood, gain insight, and develop practical tools to build lasting resilience.
Affordable private pay rate of $75–$100 per session. Supervised by Lauren Butcher, LCSW-S.
